"तिरंगा ही आन है, तिरंगा ही शान है, और तिरंगा ही हम हिंदुस्तानियों की पहचान है। - स्वतंत्रता दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं"
We all are so different, but there is one thing that unites us and it’s independence. We should honor it and never forget how hard it was to get it. Enjoy this beautiful Independence Day
In this topic today, we will clear how the fin fan air cooler maintenance are done so that we will disburse in step by step detail.
Arrangement
Before start work
1. To sabse Pahle aapke pass
Work permit honi chahiye
2. Apke pass proper tools
hone chahiye
3. Apko proper PPE jarur
istemal karna chahiye aapke safety ke liye.
4. Aur aaj ham baat kar rhe
h fin-fan ke maintenance ki to ye kaam hame height per rah kar karna hota hai
to Safety harness ka upyog jarur kare.
5. Jarurat ke hisab se
scaffolding erection jarur kra le
6. Equipment me koi fluid ho
ya pressure ho to use bhi drain or release kar le.
7. Aur sabse khas baat ki Blind list ke aadhar per inlet or
outlet ka blinding kar le yaani ki equipment ka positive isolation kaam shuru
karne se pahle jarur kar le.

Let’s Start Steps by Step Maintenance
1. Remove the plugs using torque wrench. ( Do not use
hammer ring spanners and other hammering methods to remove the plugs because
that will damage the threads )
2. Remove the old gasket rings
without damaging the gasket area.
3. Now offer to inspection team for preliminary
inspection.
4. Fix hydro jet water collection trays.
5. Now hydro jet the tubes.
6. After hydro jetting air clean the tubes.
7. Offer for Inspection
8. If ok, clean the gasket area
good without damage.
9. Check the thread for any
damage.
10. Clean the plugs good and check
the threads.
11. Fix the plug with new gasket.
12. Tight plugs by torque wrench
to required value.
13. Now fill the water and Hydro
Test.
14. Identify leaks through
Tubes/Plugs.
15. If no leak offer for
inspection to the team.
16. Now drain the water and
de-Blind.
17. Finally make good housekeeping and work safely.
Question Answer
Questios No1- What are the types of gaskets used in the fin-fan cooler
plugs and material of construction?
Ans- Ring type gaskets are used and material of construction
is soft iron, aluminium, stainless steel
and alloy.
Questio No2- What are the size of plugs used in
fin-fan cooler?
Ans- 1 1/8 (28.5 mm) is the normal size. But 1 ¼(31.75=32
mm) and 1 3/8 (34.9=36 mm) plugs are also used.
ØFire –Fire is a chemical
reaction or a process of bonding in which fuel is ignited in the presence
oxygen and heat and typically gives off light, heat, flame and smoke.
▲Fuel + Oxygen + Heat =
Fire
Let Us See
How Fire Occur
ØThere
must be 3 elements present.
ØThese
elements include Oxygen, Heat and Fuel.
ØWhen
all 3 of these elements come together it creates a chemical reaction which
causes fire.
ØIn
order to put out a fire, you need to remove one or more of these elements.
Types of Fire
vFire is mainly divided
into six categories or we can say Class.
1.Class A
2.Class B
3.Class C
4.Class D
5.Class E
6.Class F
ØClass A Fire - If a fire occurs in a solid material, then we call it class A fire such as wood, Paper, Textiles, Fiber,
Coal, Rubber, Plastic etc.
ØClass B Fire - If a fire occurs in a flammable liquids, then we call it class B fire such as petrol, diesel, oil, paints etc.
ØClass C Fire - If a fire occurs in a flammable gases, then we call it class C fire such as Methane, Propane, Butane etc.
ØClass D Fire - If a fire occurs in metals due to overheat, then we call it class D fire such as aluminum, magnesium, etc.
ØClass E Fire - If a fire occurs in electrically energized
equipments, then we call it class E fire or Electrical Fire.
Note :- Fires
that involve electrical energized equipments are designated “class C” under the
American system and “class E” under the European/Australian Systems.
ØClass F Fire - If a fire occurs in cooking oils or in fats then
it is called Class F Fire, we can simply
say as a Kitchen Fire.
Note :- Fires
that involve cooking oils or fats are designated “class K” under the American
system and “class F” under the European/Australian Systems.
I hope… it is cleared now
about types of fire so let’s talk about types of fire extinguisher
Different Fire Extinguisher
Types and Uses
As
you review the fire extinguisher guide below, it's important to understand two
things.
ØFirst,
different types of fire extinguishers are designed to fight a different classes
or ratings of fire.
ØSecond,
each fire extinguisher type works by removing a
particular element from the fire equation.
ØWater type fire extinguishers -Work by attacking the heat
element of the fire equation. Water extinguishers should only be used on class
( A ) fires that involve ordinary materials like paper, wood, fiber and coal.
ØFoam fire extinguishers - Work
by removing the heat and oxygen elements of the fire equation. This type of
fire extinguisher should only be used on class ( A ) and ( B ) fires and should
never be used on class ( E ) electrical fires due
to electrocution hazard.
ØCO2 or Carbon Dioxide fire extinguishers- Work
by attacking the oxygen in a fire. They also work to remove heat due to a very
cold discharge. CO2 fire extinguishers should only be used on class (C)
electrical fires and class (B) combustible liquid fire.
ØDCP ( Dry chemical Powder fire extinguishers ) –Primarily
work by interrupting the chemical reaction of a fire. A very versatile fire
extinguisher, these are rated to be effective on class A, B and C fires. Since
A-B-C fires are the most common, dry chemical fire extinguishers are the most
widely used in home fire situations.
ØWet chemical fire
extinguishers- Work by first removing the
heat element of a fire and then preventing re-ignition by creating a barrier
between the oxygen and fuel elements. This classification of fire extinguisher
was specifically developed for class ( F ) fires that involve cooking oils and
fats. Most often these fires occur in commercial restaurants and cafeteria
settings.
ØDry powder fire extinguishers - work by separating
the fuel from the oxygen of a fire. These are only for use in class ( D ) fires
that involve combustible metals like magnesium, titanium, potassium and sodium.
The
powder agent used may be powdered graphite, granular sodium chloride or copper
based, all of which are effective at separating the fuel (the ignited
combustible metal) from the oxygen.
ØWhich fire extinguisher classification is right for you?
ØAs
you can see, each class of fire requires a certain type of fire extinguisher to
fight it. For most people, a dry chemical A-B-C rated fire extinguisher is
going to be the best unit to have around the home, car or workplace.
ØFor
others in a more specialized environment, a different type of fire extinguisher
will be needed for effective firefighting.
