What is AutoCAD ?

AutoCAD is a basically computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software running on computers with the help of  internal graphics controller which is widely used by architects, project managers, engineers, graphic designers, town planners and many other professionals. AutoCAD is Developed by Autodesk.
Starting AutoCAD                You can start AutoCad by double-clicking on the AutoCad icon on the desktop of your computer. You can also load AutoCAD from the windows taskbar by choosing the steps...
Start > Programs > Autodesk > AutoCAD.
Then click on...File > New       Acad.dwt  { Template Files } ( Use Ctrl+N also )
You create a Drawing file like firstproject.Dwg { AutoCAD Files }
In AutoCAD Default Unit - Decimal ( mm ) you can change also.
Note:- In Mechanical, Electrical drawing use decimal ( mm )
In Civil, Architectural Drawing
a) Corporation Drawing- Meter so use decimal
b) Working Drawing - Feet & Inches so use Architectural.
